In the middle of wedding cake orders, I got a request from a friend to make a birthday cake for her son. Don't have a heart to turn her down since she is going away to the United Kingdom to do her PHD. It will be awhile before I see her again. Here it is...Aliza, this one is for you!

Me...teaching?

Me...teaching? Yep...just for my husband's two nieces, Hanis & Syahirah. I taught them baking & decorating. Will I do it again? Yep...but first, I'm giving myself time to improve my skills...baking, decorating & teaching.
First day,we made sponge cakes, topped with fresh cream & decorated with cartoon designs filled with colored piping gel.
Second day, we made butter cake, topped with buttercream with cartoon decoration filled with colored buttercream. And also, some cupcakes.
Hey girls, I am expecting a birthday cake from you...you need the practice anyway.

A family friend, Iam, wanted two cakes...daughter's birthday. Something different.My daughter came up with the 'Ana Muslim' idea actually.
Both are layered chocolate & orange sponge cakes, topped with fresh cream. Yummy!!!
